Val joined Dyer in June 1979 and became a Director in 1982. As the company’s longest serving principal, he has nearly thirty years experience in all aspects of practice and project management and has been instrumental in developing the business to its current size and calibre. As well as his strategic involvement in company management, he also maintains a highly active role in a wide variety of projects.
Val has extensive experience across all sectors and building types and has worked within the parameters of various procurement and partnering models, including the Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFT).
His portfolio includes work for major multi-national companies, government agencies, developers and clients with highly specialist remits, such as leading research universities and NHS trusts.
Skilled in liaising with planning authorities and bodies such as English Heritage and CABE, Val has secured planning permission for a number of complex sites with special status, including Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Sites of Special Scientific Interest. He has worked extensively with listed buildings and projects in conservation areas.
